valarauka 2007-09-07 . chapter 1I like the style. It shows Naruto's personality very well.
By the style, it feels like when we are young and everything is so simple. Problems and ideas felt like big blobs of color. They were just there, they sort of touched each other on the edges but they didn't really mix with each other to form more complex problems.
It seems like Naruto is still in this frame of mind, and he's struggling to make this new, confusing problem make sense. It's clear that he's a bit out of his depth but also that he is adjusting and he is learning that the world is a lot meaner and more confusing than what his experiences told him. It also parallels the manga - up til the Sasuke Retrieval arc, the manga was relatively simple. It went arc-by-arc, and you knew that the good guys would win in the end. |
nonpareil 2007-03-16 . chapter 1You grabbed awesomeness by the **, dragged it under the porch, and chewed on it for 347 words.
... ignore my bizarre metaphors. For real, this is kickass. There is a great analysis of the traits of both Naruto and Sasuke; the way you explain Sasuke's obsession with Itachi and how the fact that Sasuke accepts it (that being the problem) shows really good insight. Naruto is also incredibly IC (THANK YOU) in how he realizes his obsession for Sasuke when Sasuke leaves.
Ramble over; but for a very short little drabble this was very well done. |
Ashen Rose Shadow 2007-03-16 . chapter 1This is a beautiful story. I like how deep and thoughtful Naruto you made, while still holding on to the fact that he's Naruto, with all of his crazy qualities. :)
I especially enjoyed how Sasuke's obsession led right into Naruto's in a full circle. Brilliant work.
This is a marvelous piece! Keep writing! |
Frosty Pig 2007-03-16 . chapter 1I liked this, you made Naruto smart without him being OOC, very intersting. |
