Aw this is so adorable! I love it!! You really get the perfect awkwardness of forbidden?(i suppose kinda forbidden) and thought-of-as-unrequited love. He resented that description, actually - he wasn't emo at all. Emo people were overly sensitive, whereas he had been informed quite often that he had the sensitivity of a rock. And his wrists were scar-free, thank you very much. But no matter; people had always had their stereotypes, and always would. That wasn't the point.
