not exactly no. magic isnt some one. it is what it is. we arent space or time but we are a part of it. no he can do magic. to me petnuia hates what magic dose to people.

well this was just excellent. one of my favorite chapters so far.

Amazingly, the altered dynamic between Harry and Dudley still surprises me even after all this time, with Harry being so understanding and supportive of Dudley while Vernon and Petunia are fighting. Likewise the dynamic between the four of them, really; everything's so different from how it is in canon, and I think you weave it all together perfectly.

It says a lot about how far Uncle Vernon's come that he fully supports Dudley's future as a wizard (going so far as to say he *won't* be taking some mundane muggle job instead). But then, you've always had a really good grasp on Uncle Vernon's character in this story, so I probably shouldn't be surprised.

The fight really was a long time coming, and I think you wrote it quite well. I never thought the day would come when I would feel bad for Dudley (and to a lesser extent, Vernon), but congratulations, you have managed it with this story.

Dunno why, but I'm getting the feeling that Harry has just switched roles. He's a mix between the Dursley servant, looking after the house and people, working in a hostile environment) as if getting paid for it (taking the flake for things and like he's constantly scared of some explosion) , and post Hogwarts Petunia. Indulging Dudleys' s every tantrum/whim because she doesn't want to see her sweetums upset.

Petunia, Dudley or Vernon... He just can't please all, can he?

I thought you wrote the chapter excellently. I was expecting Dudley to be a bit more emotional, with more tears, but it was still a good read. I don't think I could have written their emotions just as well. Poor Dudley.

Did you hear, the actor that played Vernon died yesterday. Sad isn't it, he was only 65. Anyways, awesome chapter though I'm a little annoyed at the uncle Vernon and aunt Petunia. They are supposed to be both capital since there is no 'my' in front of it. Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia.

poor dudley... i feel so bad for him... his mother is just so awful. i'm glad she's out of their lives now, as horrible as that sounds. i just hope dudley will recover from it, but dudley is so loved by many people. i'm sure he will get through it

This was the only way it could've gone. I think you handled it pretty neatly. It could've been worse. But it sill pulls at the heartstrings.
