For not normally writing angst, this is a pretty good piece. So far it's well-written and includes good detail and descriptions of emotions. The pacing was good, too, and I hope you finish this series because you caught me hook, line, and sinker. *Only thing was that I thought Aoshi sounded like an eager lapdog in the flashback.
