Great story, but one thing...I used to be really into about Wicca as a pre-teen (and I'm sure a lot of people go through that phase as well). Well, that eventually lead to my fascination of divination.
The card of Death doesn't necessarily mean impending doom. It also means that the one who is having the deck read will face a point where he/she can begin a part of their life. It means that something will cause him/her to change and when they change a new attitude or lifestyle may come. Death represents that in-between state where we are brought face to face with the complete inevitability of our loss, before the sense of new growth has begun. So the card of Dead doesn’t essentially symbolize a ‘bad’ ending.
An example can be the birth of a child; the parents of the child will have their entire lives revaluated after the child is born. Many mothers have what is called ‘baby blues’ because they mourn the lose of their child (so to speak). The time between the sudden change from housing another being to holding a baby in their arms isn’t enough for them to mourn.
Perhaps the real end of your story and the meaning behind the Death card was really that Harry would face Voldemort for the final time and after the dark lord’s defeat, Harry’s life will be forever changed. He will never have to worry about Voldemort’s return and realization causes him to begin a new chapter in his life (one with Hermione, hopefully). I could just be wrong about all of this and have written this for entirely nothing but I feel as if I have given myself some closure and perhaps whoever reads this review will receive some too. ~Fionna

I did like the fic....it's just sad that it had to have that death omen thingy hanging at the end. This is really coool, but the way.
