It's defnitely an intimidating fandom. In fact, the reaction to every Sonic game from Adventure onward has been RIDICULOUS. All the Sonic games (excluding colors) are good. Sonic and Elise are a VERY unappreciated couple. This is a great story.

Very good, loved the quote ; 'parting is such sweet sorrow' by Shakespeare at the beginning. It fit very well with the story. I liked the description of Sonic getting punctured by the blaze of energy. Nice metaphors in there.

Wow. Just... whoa. This is one of the most amazing stories I've ever read! The emotion in it was breathtaking, though there were a few spelling mistakes. Besides that, I couldn't stop reading it. You're an inspiration to authors, and I'm happy I got to read a story from you.

I quite thoroughly love this fic. Frankly I agree that Sonic and Elise make a cute couple, regardless of how many people say "Ew! They're two different species! Bestiality!" To those people I say- HA! After all, bestiality is between a human and a non-sentient animal; and Sonic is anything but! Frankly I don't see such a problem. So therefore I applaud you in SonicXElise fluffiness and I hope you will continue to write such enthralling stories. Also, you did a wonderful job of portraying SEGA-Sonic in my opinion; so if you get any other ideas, run with them!

*ahem* I commend you for this beautiful fanfic, Scribbler. :) SEGASonic can be tough to branch into when you're used to writing for another universe, so I have to say kudos to you for pulling it off. This is the best, most in depth SonElise fic I have ever read-heck, the most in depth thoughtful insight on Elise I've ever read. You've breathed into her and delved her out, and the sorting of her emotions and her past and her parents and Greta is... poignant. I think several areas where Elise (and Sonic at the death scene *shiver*) was feeling pain, I had this sick tightness in my chest. It's rare for a fanfic to do that to me.

I always think when I read your stuff, that you just GET characters. Better than anyone else I know, I always find you getting characters. Getting things in them that I not only never thought of, but can’t seem to put into words properly. And then you write something and you do it and it’s like poetry. It amazes me. So much that I’ll often read and reread a line that I like, a few times before moving on. Yours I think are the only fics that can make me savour.

The Sonic and Elise moments on the embankment, could have been in game. It was ambiguous to be Sonic and Elise, but the depth you put into it, in-between the (already way-deep- dialogue) just… was swimming there for a bit. @.@; Sonic’s quote of ‘Well, whoever you decide to be, make sure you’re still Elise too, okay?’ is probably the most Sega Sonic quote I’ve heard in regards to her. I’m just gleeful at that bit. And there’s so much I want to babble at.

I’d never thought of Sonic’s wound being cauterised when he was hit by Mephiles spear thingy. ; I wish I had now because it makes a perfect (ghastly) kind of sense and the smell of burning flesh being one of the last things he recognised along with the promise of no more chilli dogs… Was perfect. I reallyreally like that but because you put an slant to that scene I’d not thought of.

And the story of Greta… Was just lovely too. And the idea of Sonic’s spikes bunched together to decrease wing resistance. ‘Momma’s iron carriage’ really really stuck out for me. ;; As did the notion Elise has that if she ever marries, it’ll be someone light on their feet. XD

BTW, I thought Silver’s little bout of childishness was so right for his character because he was doing the valiant thing in going to Elise’s aid with Eggman and she kind of admitted the man was right and it grated on him and it was lovely how she almost laughed. And terribly sad. ; And in his almost leaving her how he seems awkward? Also so, so fitting for him. ;.;

I snickered madly at ‘Dinkelfratt’ XD I really did.

But my fav bit was the quote. Y’know. The quote? “Happiness is not having what you want; it is wanting what you have.”

Damn. Just. Damn. Truer words have never been spoken. ; And I am seriously in love with this fic. ;.; So thank you ever so much for writing it. And glad you got the CD. And you’ve made me want to draw those two now. ; So extra thanks for that. You rock.
