Lia Majere 2009-11-08 . chapter 1Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Both Severus and Minerva are characterized spectacularly. I did however find a few grammatical errors that were in need of repair. For instance, you switched between past and present tense a few times, using "he's" instead of the "he'd" that was more common through the story. You also had a few instances of either leaving out a word or adding an unnecessary word. |
staryllia 2009-11-08 . chapter 1hahaha I cracked up when they ate all the gelato and moved on to the cookies! It's totally something I would do..if I had the money that is. :) great work!! |
skinnydipping 2009-11-02 . chapter 1I loved this story so much. Mainly because it is not just another fanfiction. It actually has a deep philosophical context, a context that gets you thinking, that makes sense, that reminds you of... you. And works wonders with your plot, which is also very nice! ;)
The youth versus adulthood humor is excellent. Actually, you have some pretty funny lines that I loved to death. And the duo was perfect-in-character-pitch. I also enjoyed the way you conduct the narration, you are a fantastic storyteller.
You could write more MMSS! (is my understanding that you have 2?). I loved your stories! You are great!
Kudos from Brazil. |
deeps85 2009-09-12 . chapter 1ah! if only we all could get such a chance |
 Katalara 2009-08-31 . chapter 1How cute!
=^..^= |
Penskii 2009-08-20 . chapter 1It was a really logical set up. I mean, normally living alone as two twelve year olds couldn't be pulled off. There would be visitors, people would be called. Who would leave two twelve year olds alone? But with Severus's solitary lifestyle and the grocery deliveries and lack of visitors- perfect. Well thought out. Makes it a bit more plausible of a situation. And I do think, in my heart, that they would go back to their own ages eventually. Just because everyone has to grow up eventually.
ANYWAY, very well written. Adorable, cute, plausible. Good spelling, grammar, ect. Definitely something to add to the favorites. |
Elaienar 2009-08-14 . chapter 1This is brilliant. You had me nearly shrieking with laughter the whole way through, especially with McGonagall's angling to get Snape on a broom and the shopping trips (“Those boys were not interested in being your friend.” - that one just about killed me). And they both seemed so very in-character which, I confess, was something I wasn't much expecting based on the summary and my experience of Harry Potter fanfiction in general. The pairing is one that I would never, ever have thought upossible, but ... somehow you made it work. Great job. |
LisaT 2009-08-09 . chapter 1I know this is old, but I couldn't resist leaving a review. I've read this story many times and always end it with a smile, and in fact ransacked both of my computers today looking for the copy I was sure I had on my hard drive! No luck and then it was to key words and so on - I couldn't remember your name, or the story's title, just the general plot and the presence of ice cream. Then I remembered the tagline and marvellous Google found it for me. I'm sure you've since moved on, but I'd dearly love to see a follow-up. Does the relationship between young!Severus and young!Minerva evolve further? Do they ever decide to return to their true ages? Do they end up being 'young' or 'old' on a whim...? Anyway, thank you. |
 CalliopeMused 2009-07-12 . chapter 1(loves)
Best de-aging fic I've ever read. Snape's transformation is worked throughout the piece, there's an actual reason for the potions-based change, and Minerva's kiddiness is adorable and always believable. The chemistry between them is never romantic, but it's there all the same. The final image of two 12-year-olds running wild in an isolated house with broomsticks and woods and mocha gelato made me smile. |
 Elsa2 2009-05-25 . chapter 1I wish DH had ended like this... |
 Saavik13 2009-04-29 . chapter 1very cute. :) |
Nina 2009-04-11 . chapter 1 Thank you for this, it's been a long time since I've read a story this good in a long time. My only question is why this story hasn't gotten more reviews? I mean it's not the longest story, but it's not boring and unlike other stories in this genre it wasn't cliche. Really, really fantastic writing. Good job! |
 Rebel.Dream.Tatooine.Ghost 2009-03-13 . chapter 1loved it. |
Kelly Chambliss 2008-12-22 . chapter 1Absolutely hilarious. Clever and hilarious. Well-paced and hilarious. In-character. And hilarious. (But with effective serious touches that help make the story more than just a laugh.)
The ending. . .ah, well. I wouldn't want to be 12 again for anything. Nor am I looking forward to 70+. Couldn't Severus have come up with a nice 30-something potion? Still, they are better off at the end than they were at the start, which qualifies as a happy ending in my book.
Some lines that are. . .hilarious:
"There were no egomaniacal oppressors looking for world domination, roomsful of disinterested, brainless students sucking the lifeblood out of him, no vengeful mob of reprobates rallying for his head to be mounted on a stick and paraded around town. . .It had been an interesting life."
"Why are you here?" he asked. "And why are you nine?
"Minerva, who used to eat yellow squash as a treat. . ."
"The part of the girl that was Minerva McGonagall. . .The part of Minerva McGonagall that was a girl. . ."
"He would have to the be the one to show restraint and bring back discipline and order. . .That was what he was thinking as he ran through the forest. He'd show her who was crap at hiding."
"Severus quickly picked up a piece of toast and began to stab his breakfast in the eyes."
"Today he would be an adult and do adults did when they wished to avoid the world - he would hide under the covers and feign illness." |
sunsethill 2008-12-20 . chapter 1What a sweet, wonderful story--and a fun way to be able to get Severus and Minerva to the correct age. You fooled me a little as I expected her to decide to age up to Severus' age. But I think I like this a lot better. It's really nice when you troll other people's favorites lists and find gems. |
