Well, Zarek is a real Marvel character, right? I don't know anything about him. Is it the same with Marissa? Well whatever it is, this story is AWESOME! Keep it up, im 100% interested!

Good chapter! I'm glad they went with the X-Men. Is Zarek an alien? It sounds like an alien name. How old is Marissa. You said she met Zarek when she was ten, and that was nearly ten years ago, which would make her nineteen, twenty?

Okay, so this guy, "Jeff", he was a scientist at the Weapon X project, who rescued Marissa and her father? Interesting.

I like the little conversation about the Sentinels. "Having them rip into the city time and again should have given them a clue how dangerous they are a long time ago" -- Not to mention the annoyance -- oh darn, the street's blocked off because of the giant robots again. I'll have to take the long way to work. *sigh*

I really like the way this story is going. The characterization and the introduction of the characters is great. You're really wetting the readers appetite without giving too much away. Wonderful :)

this is great! i defitely like where you're going with it.
the only constructive critisism that come to mind is that sometimes people seem to intuitively know thigns that don't really make sense. like in the beginningwhen marissa is looking at the xmen, she knows there are more, even though she can't see them? and when zarek hints to logan in the end that he knows him, logan's mind immidiately jumps to weapon x, even though logans the kind of guy where the weapon x project is his only possible ticket into god's wrath.

This seems quite promising. I'll be interested in seeing what happens next. Good job!
