BWAHAHAHAHAHA! That's hilarious! And really, Gojyo's reaction DOES speak more to his shock than any homophobic tendencies. I don't think it would mater who I was hitting on...if they turned out to be the opposite of what I was after, I'd be shocked. ^_^

Very nice! Even if it went way over the word limit, such things are excusable if the result is funny enough. I have to agree with Sohmamomiji; it wasn't the homophobia as much as the blow to his pride (and besides, a rabid 85 writer like me can't really understand Straight!Gojyo). Hakkai's reactions were priceless, and so was the bet. *blinks* my, you enjoy torturing Gojyo, don't you? Oh, and one line I just had to mention:
"It was no easy feat, but the monk’s banishing gun was very good at negotiating when the wielder of said gun was not."
I can just see that conversation. *giggles*

I interpreted Gojyo's reaction as being more from the shock of his 'hot chick' being a guy and his '**'-dar being so far off base... and the humiliation of knowing that everyone was going to laugh at him for losing the bet... not necessarily homophobic.

(I had a similar incident happen to me once, so I know how shocked and embarassed Gojyo probably must have felt. ^_^ I'll tell you on LJ, if you want to hear about it.)
