It did seem a bit OOC for Gaara, but honestly that's one reason I like GaaHina fics - she just has that kind of effect on him. I don't understand some of the random italicized paragraphs - is that thought? or memory? Also, a few paragraphs were a bit too long for my taste: when reading fics on the internet, a paragraph that is too long can be hard to read (for me at least...but then again, my eyesight isn't that great to begin with...). Other than that, nice writing. I like the way you portray their relationship.
