This is pretty good so far. Definitely a lot of angst, but the pieces of humor in between are great: “...you're shooting words at us instead of bullets...PLEASE DON'T REACH FOR YOUR SIDEARM!” Haha! That one had me rolling. =D
I love the way you describe things...like Roy's thoughts on Riza's smells and her apartment in the opening. It expresses a lot. =D

I can see where you're heading from here. I hope you'll continue after his return from the North...

I love the little detial in there about Mustang asking the team answers to his crossword.

Nicely done, those last three words give quite the impact.

"Time crawled by without her and then it stood still when she walked through the door." Love that line. The whole thing's very good but that line jumped out at me.
