I really love this one-shot. You definitely have the shinobi world down. This is something that I can see really happening in the story. How love, and all the uncertainties that come with it, can threaten their teamwork and their duty as shinobi. But hey, it's love =]

I admire how you took a theme and throughly developed it - 'Sake,' wow what an unexpectd topic of choice. But I throughtly enjoyed this piece - it was more than simply an enjoyable read. Something more that I can't quite articulate, but wonderful nonetheless.

Excellent oneshot. You always do wonderful Nejiten and storytelling. There's definitely a lot of angst and desire underlying the whole story and when I almost think they're denying themselves again, you make the last bit of sake turn into water and green tea. ;)

The wonders of alcohol. It was interesting to see how you warped the cliched alcohol-induced lust/love formation into this. I enjoyed it.

This was just frighteningly great. I loved every bit of it, and I chuckled to myself when I noticed that the only time they could be honest was when at least one of them was drunk, drunk so the next day they wouldn't remember anything. They're just living behind a mask. Beautifully written, as always.

You're such a fantastic writer. Makes me cry with envy.

Very sweet story. Interesting how you introduced the sections with names of alcohol. The theme of sake throughout the story works very well in tying things together as the two characters age. I really love this pairing and hope to read more of your writing about them.

Wow. This story so deserves more than 17 reviews. I loved it. It's amazing that you can do humour (think pirates), as well as bittersweet romance so well. The different types of sake fitted with their ages perfectly, and conveyed more about their maturity than anything else.

I also love all stories that tell readers more with with that they don't say than what they do, and you did that perfectly. Oh, and the repetition in the paragraph structure made the whole story pack so tightly together and worked so well and.. mph.

I am too in awe to type too much right now. Favouriting this story as well as you.
