Just re-read this, and AUGH, I still can't get over your view of Megan and Don (and, of course, specifically their friendship). You write them so, so well. The mix of strength and sensitivity and general compassion in both of them is portrayed so quietly and authentically, that is just beyond a joy to read. Gorgeous. (Write more :P)

okay. you made me cry at the end. this is one of the most ture to "life" depictions of the characters i've ever read. i can see don eventually being comfortable enough to have this conversation with megan.
