Oh boy, I love updates! I don't know if I already said the "hardest tasks" bits reminded me of Cupid and Psyche/Hercules, but they do-love it!

The way that you paint out her response to her hardships is wonderful, it's so rich and vivid, and the other servants' responses to her are so perfect and realistic. You have a really great eye for those things. I also really like the way you create atmosphere with your prose, painting an aura of mystery around Sophia's "disgrace" like that. And the dreams...very cool.

Oh, and it's Bob Saget in her dreams, right?

Anyhoo, have an amazing time in Austria! If you get the chance in Vienna, there are some fantastic museums with great collections which you should definitely check out. Happy trails, see you on the other side. :)

Good stuff, good stuff, I'm still tired from China, the waves of tiredness pass really randomly, and it's kinda annoying, first I'm awake, then I'm like, 'Where's my thick non-sweet tasting Starbucks?' Then I go to sleep for a few hours, it's annoying, but I love this chapter and can't wait for more.

Aww, poor Sophia. I'm just glad that Dracula didn't kill her(It would kinda mess up the story if she was dead, wouldn't it?) I have one question though. The head maid said that she would only work in the east wing. And since the east wing is his mistresses wing, does that mean tht Dadezda is going to show up? I don't know why, but i have a feeling that she is gonna act like "I won, you lost, Haha!" I may be wrong though. Anyway, Nice work! Can't wait for your next update. ( and don't worry about any delays. This story is good enough that I'll wait or it. ;)

I loved it. Dracula is being a butthole though. He should have been more understanding. Of course, this is probably what all your female readers will think. Hopefully he'll come around.

YOU UPDATED! YAY! I think I'm the first one, huzzah! (I win! I win!). Sorry, I've been working on a chapter for 8 gazillion hours and my brain has turned to mush.

Anyhoo: I was expecting there to be some kind of repercussions for Sophia's (very sensible IMO) refusal of Vladdy-poo, but I wasn't expecting that he'd go the Cake Or Death route so quickly. Props to you though, I think it will make for an interesting next few chapters, AND, it will give him way more to make up for when he decides to play nice. I'm wondering if anyone ever played him that Stones song "You Can't Always Get What You Want." Probably not. ;p

Again, I love what you're doing with Dracula here, he's such a guy and, more importantly, he's such a privileged, spoiled brat. I can just tell that all those feelings of love and tenderness that he's already beginning to experience are going to piss him off big time. Vlad "Too Sexy" Dracula doesn't cater to someone else's needs or wants, Dracula doesn't care about other peoples' feelings, and he certainly doesn't put another's happiness above his own desires, and when he starts wanting to do these things (because he lurves her!) he will not be happy about it. I sense a Mind At War scene (even more than this chapter) approaching.

So yeah, I flipping love this story. It is f-ing awesome and I'm so glad you updated. Really, it made my night. And I'm glad you liked the review (and my pen-name). I totally get what you mean about characters driving the plot-that's how the best fiction often works. The characters become so life-like, so real, that the plot flows organically from them, as it would in life. Does that make sense?

Anyway, that seriously blows about your laptop, I hope it's recovering. My computer flipped out the other night and I had a small panic attack.
