That was really good. It was kind of sad though. I'm happy he didn't get locked in confinment, but it was still sad. It was like that mixed feeling kind of thing.

I think its worth a try at a continuation. It's definitely good as a stand alone, but still has space to be explored. Maybe you can write a sequal? So this will stay as a one-shot (a really great one-shot btw ^^) but we also get to read more about Kyo~ I for one am really wondering what Yuki is thinking during all this ... I doubt he's entirely heartless towards Kyo, if he was with him before ... And for some reason, I don't feel as if his relationship with that girl will be enough to break his curse. Momiji/Kyo will be an interesting pairing to explore too~ I don't believe I've seen any (or at least, I haven't read any). Hope to read more ^^

I'm going to do this paragraph by paragraph:

1. I think that's exactly how Kyo would feel -- hated because he's the Cat and feeling angry at himself for believing otherwise, especially after Yuki says that.

2. Wonderful. Kyo really would do anything for Tohru, wouldn't he? Except that.

3. I love Hatori, and it's so great that you put him in as the saviour of Kyo's life but destroyer of his dream. Kyo would too easily hate him for saving his life.

4. Momiji has a lot of sadness, I think. His tears really are that much more precious because he does nothing but smile. T_T

5. Great metaphor of the crack existing in him for such a long time until just it took just a little more pressure for him to shatter completely.

6. I like how you put Tohru as cause for both Kyo's pain and pleasure. How he hates her for making him live.

7-8. That's how I see the Yuki/Kyo relationship. They wouldn't ever fall in love if circumstances were normal. But they're not, and they do.

9. I like Tohru's dialogue in this. And I think you write their contact very well. Bordering on something, but the line is too blurry to attempt to cross.

10-11. The little things are what Kyo's going to remember. His acceptance with the "normal" people, if not the cursed.

12. That's so sad. T_T

13-14. Kyo giving up in a way, Akito trying to make amends...you write them so well.

15. I really liked the ending. It's not happy, but it's realistic.

Characterization was extremely well done, I think. Kyo's thoughts especially. Great work. :)

::sniff:: That was so sad! Poor Kyo Kyo… =( Dang, lately Yuki’s been getting on my nerves! He always treats Kyo so badly! Well, at least in the few Yuki/Kyo fics I’ve read. 0.0 Kyo’s always being used/abused! Poor Kitty! ::snuggles Kyo plushy::

Hmm… well, your ficcie sounds like it could end there to me. It had a good ending—it just wasn’t the typical, fulfilling, sunshine-and-butterflies ending that comes with an extra squirt of fluff on top! XD I can imagine Kyo recovering, and SINCE I’m such a big Haru/Kyo fan, I of course imagine Haru helping him out along the way (hee hee), but if I had to choose between Momiji/Kyo and Yuki/Kyo I would definitely say—despite the above paragraph—Yuki/Kyo! So if you feel like continuing, I say go with that one!

This was a great story! If you decide to continue, I will definitely be reading! PEACE.

i enjoyed this very much, and i too like it as is. but that is not to say that i would hate to see some sort of continuation, something with the same dreamlike feeling...

i think you had a good idea of what everyone's character was supposed to be so congratulations on a well written furuba fic.
