Charma1219 2009-11-25 . chapter 48I really loved the interaction between Harry and Snape in this chapter. Very well written (as always) and I can't wait for your next chapter! Thanks for not giving up on writing this series! I've found myself going back to the start and re-reading it several times. Has got me through some tough times. I appreciate it! |
Saeth Ceirwyn 2009-11-22 . chapter 47I'm really hoping we here more about Draco/Pansy and what's going on with them. |
 fahzzyquill 2009-11-18 . chapter 48realy good chapter! |
madbrad 2009-11-18 . chapter 48You really like playing with us, don't you, keeping us on our toes. I mean, we've got Harry to worry about, that's enough, but now you have Arcadius emitting a 'love level hum of some other energy'?!?!? I wonder what that's all about?
I'm continuing to feel very worried for Harry, as you intend. :-(
Arthur's non-reaction to Percy was anticlimactic. I hope Harry gets his original wand back one day.
Harry's reaction to the death of his sole minion was interesting; I doubt that Voldemort ever reacted that way to the demise of a death eater? Maybe the effect is reduced - smoothed out - if one has a number of followers, and so the change in overall 'minion energy/awareness input' is much smaller?
'All manner of Quiescing and Silencing spells should be avoided. Newborns always cry for a reason' - heh, loved it. Yes, I can imagine if parents could silence a baby with a wave of a wand ... the planet would be a *lot* more quiet. :-) That was a great little snippet of practicality.
That prophecy ... Ginny ... can it be that it's Harry she'll have to defeat/redeem? I've really forgotten the details of this story, but I'm surprised - me being a closet H/G fan for this trilogy of yours - I hadn't thought of that before! D'oh. Don't know if it's nonsense, I'll have to go back and re-read.
Thanks for the chapter! |
tsujton 2009-11-17 . chapter 48"Gratified that he could push someone useful around so easily, Harry headed back for home."
Oh, my. Harry... what are you becoming?
"They measured each other, Harry wondering whether the past, where his best friend's father looked out for him unconditionally, was as far gone as it felt right then."
I hope he can hold on to the part of himself that feels regret at this.
An absolutely wonderful chapter. Details so rich, emotions so real. I feel as though I am *in* the story.
Thank you and your betas for all your work. :) |
 LilyJames addict 2009-11-16 . chapter 48how i yearn for harry's happy ending... |
Selenology 2009-11-16 . chapter 48You're taking Harry to a very dark place. I continue to love this story and am very grateful that you've kept it up for so long without fault. I am always eager for more. Thanks so much. |
Magenta 2009-11-14 . chapter 48 I have to thank the writer.
I love this story. |
gennastar 2009-11-13 . chapter 48Take for granted I've gotten into the story and have been hanging by the seams to find out if the piece of Voldie will find its way OUT of HP, I just am irrationally worried about where HP is going. He got into the Auror branch quickly for a reason. The idea he'd sacrifice it with a soul piece is distressing.
Are Snape's abilities to hamper his son's efforts going to kick in? |
librarywitch 2009-11-10 . chapter 48Ok, I have caught up with you. I have read the other two stories in this universe. I have a concern even though I have enjoyed your wonderful writing. Are you going to let Harry go completely and permanently dark? I don't think I could bear that because I grown to love your characters and that would break Severus' heart. Also the prophacy that Harry thinks is Ginny, couldn't Harry be considered the seventh son who isn't since the Wesley parents have always considered him to be part of their family? Looking forward to the next chapter. Thanks for sharing your wonderful talent with us. |
lovestelly 2009-11-09 . chapter 48I'm scared to think about how even more twisted Harry would be without Snape's presence. Arcadius also seems to be providing a balance to the darkness left behind by Voldemort.
I can't wait to read about Harry's complete reaction to the loss of Slowdraw. |
Kiki Cabou 2009-11-09 . chapter 48There was so much sweetness throughout this chapter. As ever, your descriptions of the baby chaos surrounding Arcadius, and Arcadius himself, were spot-on and realistic. I'm glad that Harry stayed with Candide and Snape and the baby. Very interesting how Harry is getting Arcadius's aura so strongly. Magical but different. Hmm. And he really needs to tell Snape what he did to Slowdraw - marking him, ordering him around, everything. He has to just trust somebody. Amazing that in so many words, so many chapters, so much TIME, he's still having trouble with this concept. But he has to trust Snape with this, let him provide some help in figuring it out, or the weight of the knowledge just might kill him. Snape is really doing the right thing, in his own way, so I hope he'll be able to help. And Harry's continual build of disturbing thoughts, by the way, is reaching quite a disturbing summit. He needs to get help immediately, if only to make those chilling musings about the "smallness" of world domination stop.
Random goodness:
"I know a potion for that," Snape informed her.
Harry interrupted with, "That I'd pay to see."
Bwa ha ha! Awesome. I loved that whole scene in the living room. Being around the baby the new parents seems to be the only anchor Harry has right now. He should stick close to them.
Aaron and Ginny are good together. I hope they keep showing up with each other in this story. :)
Harry's meeting with Slowdraw - it was like Harry being Voldemort (the boss) but still being Harry (reasonably kind even to someone who really doesn't deserve it). Very well done.
Happy about the scene where Percy revealed himself to his father and his part in the criminal underworld dealings going on. I'm glad Mr. Weasley knows, although Mr. Weasley is undoubtedly not glad at all.
"He realized now as he stared at his own hand clenching and unclenching in the red infused room that what he wanted was a better understanding of what was within. What exactly had he inherited?"
That's what I want to know, too. Also, I'm only asking because the threads have become so tangled and it's been so long between chapters - why was Tonks so cold with him? Did she not believe him about Percy, or she's not down with his idea about taking out Durumulna, or ...? I can't remember.
And the ending! Holy moly ... his minion ... his one pathetic minion ... dead. And what a reaction from his body! Yikes. He needs to a) never do that again to somebody, and b) straighten this out with Ma Dame, or whoever is on the offensive now. Hopefully he can be of some assistance to his fellow Aurors and this won't be the end of young Tridant. (The coming attractions don't look promising.)
In any case, he's heading for trouble. I hope Snape finds a way to follow him. |
