Wow, I already luv this story and it's only the prologue. Raph's insight and observations/contradictions about what he was taught vs what he has seen were right on point. It's a harsh reality, but in a lot of cities this is what you see, this is what's happening, and not to many people are doing anything to change it. The fact that Raphael is seeing this and is trying to do something about it thats a big thumbs up on his character.

(Oh, and by the way, both stories had happy endings. You could easily top the angst of Silence by writing a fiction with a very hopeless ending.)

I love Raph's insight...and it is amazing that you pointed out the contradictions raph lived in, down under and up top. and its instresting how raph watches the hood, HIS hood...kinda explains why he's the only one with the brooklyn accent _.

it also tickled me that this is written post TMNT movie. yay. i think out of all the incarnations, THAT raph is my fave (followed by 2003 toon).

I was hooked by the summary, the words 'serial killer' made me sit up straight in my seat, and so far the prologue has me grinning and drooling like an idiot.

Most people just make Raph unreasonable and hot-headed, but they never try to explain why Raph gets that way. It's not just a personality trait. So you now have me excited about this as well. You do this every time. Get me hooked.
