| Tokoyo 2007-10-01 ch 6, | abuseA nice, well-tied up finale. I'm glad that Wisp made it-- she's very endearing, and I was seriously worried for a while when it looked like she'd kamikazed herself in order to stop McTaggart. Still, even though I understand why Legolas and Gimli had to go back to Middle-Earth, the entire scene of their departure was tenderly sad-- well done with that. :) The scene where Wisp shows Kimber Legolas' and Gimli's futures provoked some giggles-- I love the idea of Gimli's daughter using his battleaxe to chop wood, and the image of Legolas sleeping in the sun with his baby was one of the sweetest things I've read in a long time. It's great, too, the complexity you've given Kimber by conveying her conflicting emotions, especially in regards to McTaggart and what he could have become had he not been such an amoral and generally corrupt person. Kimber's changes in mood, from her happiness at Gimli and Legolas' futures to her sadness at seeing them leave, also struck me as very realistic and well thought out. Is there any chance of a sequel, or maybe a prequel about the time Kimber spent in Middle-Earth? *hint hint* Lovely job. Congratulations! |
| trecebo 2007-07-02 ch 6, | abuseVery good! I read both chappies yesterday but tried to reply when the system was down. ;_ You wrapped the plot well, although I was sad to see the LOTR guys go home, they had something greater waiting for them. :D It was Awesome!! |
| Proud to be an X-Nerd 2007-07-01 ch 6, | abuseOh... PLEASE Tell me that your not done with the story? Or that if you are it's not the last on you'll do? I don't think my poor weak heart could stand the strain. *falls into a gracfull faint on the couch, one eye open for new stories.* It doesn't say 'Complete' at the top, so I'm hoping this one isn't done. :) I'm SO glad you didn't kill off Wisp, that would have been TOO depressing. I love the fact that your characters are Christians and that you talk about God. I know I've said this before, but I don't think it can be said too many times. It is wonderfully refreshing to see this kind of writing, and to know there are people out there who arn't afraid to show and share faith with others. I can't wait to read more of your works. Please keep them coming!! |
| Proud to be an X-Nerd 2007-07-01 ch 5, | abuse*sniff*What!?!*sob* That was horrible! How could Wisp be dead? It's not fair. *sniff* But the chapter was good. Although, it ended rather ubruptly. One expected there to be more to the battle with McTaggert after waiting this long. But like I said, you put it together pretty well. Oh! And I have a question for you... Does the story where she goes to middle earth exist? Like, is it writen anywhere where one could read it? I think that sounds exciting! Anyway, I hope you have more to the story soon. And when you are done with this, I hope you'll have more with Kimber and her folks. :) Both Middle Earth and X-men. |
| trecebo 2007-05-24 ch 3, | abuseFINALLY! I had this in my list of to read, knowing it took a bit of time to actually enjoy. Lo, and behold. I have read. And it is good. I proclaimeth it to be so. So, now I want more. Peez? |
| Proud to be an X-Nerd 2007-05-09 ch 1, | abuseI love how you incorperated Christianity in with your characters! That is SO cool! I love your story line and I can't wait for the next chapter. Though I hope Kimmie will remember where she was. Maybe some LOTR characters could come into the sence? :) Keep up the great work. |
| Tokoyo 2007-05-05 ch 2, | abuseWOW. I have to admit I didn't know what to expect from a LotR/X-Men crossover, but I'm utterly hooked. I have to gush, so here we go! You've done a marvelous job at integrating character and backstory smoothly into the narrative, and your scenes are beautifully detailed and vivid. Kimber's reactions to what's happening around her are completely believeable, (especially her confusion and her feelings after learning that she intentionally killed someone in Middle-Earth,) and Wolverine's dialogue was flawless throughout-- I could easily imagine him saying the things he does, and you demonstrated his concern for Kimber very well and touchingly. (I also particularly enjoyed how you captured the voices and personalities of Legolas and Gimli, and I cracked up laughing at "But it was on that journey that Gimli came to know your wrath at mealtime.") A great pair of chapters, and you've certainly left me with a lot of questions. Who's the mystery woman who brought Legolas and Gimli to Earth, and what the heck is McTaggart up to? And how are Middle-Earth and Kimber's world connected? And I suspect baby Ro's precociousness will play a role in the future... Once again, wonderful job. Hope to see more soon! :) |
| trecebo 2007-05-05 ch 2, | abuseAt last...more to this story... I like the idea of your crossover. It's pretty sound and believeable. |
| trecebo 2007-04-04 ch 1, | abuseGlad to see this one again. You did a fair explanation of the whos and whens and whats. Good stuff. |
