This was extremely well written and thoughtful. I really enjoyed Ron, because let's face it, anyone who can play chess as well as he is supposed to be able to isn't a complete imbecile everyone tries to make him out to be. Snape was perfectly in character, a complete git with complex problems who drives everyone insane and always manages to weasel his way out.

I really enjoyed reading this, so much in fact that I decided to review it. Lovely, well written, and interesting. Good job.

I am always amazed when I read such a gem as your story, and note the 17 review count...then read a story where the review count is in the 100's or even 10's, and it is a total crap story.

It makes me wonder about the average age and education-level of ff net readership.

AMAZING! This is just so human and real and utterly spellbinding, that I think I'll have to reread it sixty or so times. Completely magnificent. Bravo! This is definitely going on my list of favorite fics of all time.

Fantastic!! the emotions were wonderful on all sides and I love the portrayal of Severus and Ron as well as the actions they both took. THe ending worked out rather well to ;)

What a sweet and sad story.
It seems that Ron has found some maturity during this. He went from a man just out to save Harry, to someone who was also trying to save a man he'd detested.
The part I found most interesting was the first night Ron saw Snape sleeping and having the nightmare. His connection to the damage he'd seen with Voldemort's victims was an eye openner. I'm still wondering if there was a little tease there and suggestion that Snape had been more of a victim that you're saying.
Ron obviously changed his attitudes throughout the telling of this story, as did Snape. Snape obviously wasn't trying to deny his part in what had happened under Voldemort. I liked that his only 'murder' had been Albus.

Absolutely breath-taking! I love everything about this story, I seriously wouldn't change a thing. Most of all I adore Ron in this fiction, so much I can barely put it into words. I'm so glad I've managed to find a fair amount of decent HarryxRon fics, by far my favourite pairing. I'm also glad that there was a honest, believable redemption of Snape in this ficiton, and the slow building of the bond between Severus and Ron was well paced. Once again congrats on a very well written, IC story that is still, in it's own way, very abstract.
