Darlin 2008-04-13 ch 4,	abuseI got goose bumps when I finished reading this and quite teary eyed too. If ever there was a sweet twist that was certainly it. I love this origin of Book – LOVE it! The characters were dead on, the action brilliant; the whole feel of Joss Whedon’s Firefly was perfect not to mention the amount of Mandarin you threw in! You’ve done an incredibly outstanding job, makes me wish you wrote more Serenity. Outstanding!

Enfleurage 2007-04-07 ch 4,	abuseA fascinating take on how Shepherd Book became Book, the unexpected involvement of Jubal Early (which explains how he knew Book), great battle scenes and all in perfect character and perfect Whedonesque voice, especially Mal and Zoe. The discussions between the Operative and the Shepherd contrasting with Mal's exhortation to Tracey were beautifully done and thought-provoking.
