When I read chapter 2, I got the impression that Robert was crying because he was happy and relieved that she wasn't going to leave him for good. He had probably been keeping a tight rein on all of his emotions for a while and the combination of her finding out the truth, confronting him, and telling him she loves him and won't leave pushed the emotions right outta him. Well written! |
