I just had a stray thought in the shower this morning, if the paradox hadn't happened and Renee finished growing up as Gambit's daughter, could you imagine the consequence of her healing some wound for Gambit and inadvertently healing his telepathy and time portal. Just a thought, folks.

I cannot believe how few reviews are on this fic. This is an amazing story! I was just coming back in to reread it (for the third time). Your characterization and handling of all the woven threads is awesome and inspiring. I'll be rereading this A LOT when I finally get to writing Broken Time. I love your writing. Pretty much all of it that I've read.

so I've moved onto this story and while I think it's interesting, I have to tell you that I miss Gambit. I guess I didn't realize how imperative his glib remarks and sarcastic humor were to my enjoyment of a story. I hope that Remi will in some way begin to resemble his other self despite the different backgrounds or are you arguing for nurture over nature here? I love that you have taken characters in directions I never thought possible. Rogue as a politician, Jean and Bishop? You have completely rearranged the canon and I love that because I never know what's going to happen.

Awful and wonderful all at once. I'm almost speechless.

absolutely phenomenal story!! amazing job. i was on the edge of my seat the whole time. so many twists and turns, that it just kept me guessing. again...great job!

beautifully done I watched you rewrite the timeline and change things so much enthralled by it all and watch the old adage come true the more you change the more it stays the same .. wonderfully done

That was one crazy wild roller coaster of a ride. At times I was severely confused and other times I would barely get the gist of it. This leads me to wonder if there will ever be more to this story seeing as how you've included 'The End'. Which leaves me to wonder what was the GameMaster's Game? Maybe it'd be too much to hope for another one of your wonderful stories so soon if ever. Maybe in another 5 years? :) By the way, thank you very much for uploading the whole complete story instead of having us wait out each chapter.

I like the way you've written their deaths. I'm so used to some authors out there making it a momentous event when someone dies yet in this chapter two supposedly important characters are wiped out in one sentence. At first I had thought you didn't do them justice but then I realized in this story, in the middle of a war, that's just how significant death is. It is just a part of it and has no greater importance than one sentence. This was a very powerful chapter.

[smiles] You know, Xavier should be President. I think he would make a fairly decent one. Of course, since Storm is the Shadow Queen, we still have to see how Xavier comes into play.

Wow, I had just finished Betrayal. Imagine my surprise to see you've just posted up a sequel to it and completed! I'm a bit worried to see how everything will turn out..Will it be a happy ending? Judging from the prologue that may not be, and if anyting there'll be many trials before that happens. Onward ho!

As always it is an amazing experience to read your stories. It's a testament to your skill and talent that in so short a time a person could learn to fall in love with 4 very distinct, equally developed completely original characters. My heart broke for all of them.

There were so many great parts, but those that really stuck out to me:
1) Storm as the Shadow Queen- We always knew she had a wild side, but you really showed us how far you could plausibly take the character. I think she's a painfully underwritten character, so I like seeing authors get experimental with her
2) Renee letting Rogue absorb some of her memories- that was so touching
3) Of course the final outcome of Remi. The simplest, most logical, and perhaps most painful way of reconstructing the paradox. Only a master could tie things up so seamlessly.

I noticed there's another story that follows Renee. Naturally, you wouldn't leave any loose strings. I look forward to reading it soon.
