Wow...this was a long chapter! I thought at first it would be like a fairy tale; it's more like a fable!

There are a bunch of typos around - but consider the fact that I noticed them a compliment; it means that even though the story was long I read every word of it! (Do re-read and fix them if you get the chance though; check the spelling of "leola root" and I'm not sure that it's Kosher to use "conscious" as a noun; I'd use "consciousness" or, better yet, "ego").

I'm not sure I understand the ending though; if Chakotay set the whole thing up, why would the other three seem so out of control? Surely they're not brave enough to *act* the part that vigorously! (They also seemed genuinely unaware of the source of their uncontrollable desire). Also, the potion-peddler said that the perfume wouldn't change feelings, just enhance them, which would imply (which was what I was thinking when Kathryn said that Chakotay was the only one who loved her) that all the guys on the ship seem to have a little thing for her (and you can't blame them). If you're trying to prove that Chakotay loves her in a way that the others don't, then his reaction should be noticeably different from theirs (and it really wasn't, other than his assertion that the perfume wasn't affecting him, which I didn't believe).

The only thing that would make this funnier would be if the girls were to go after her too! (I'm imagining B'Elanna biting her and Seven trying to assimilate her...) The doctor has a thing for her too (see "Tinker, Tenor, Spy") but is probably immune to pheromones!

Oh, and Chakotay's note isn't very clear; it seems to imply he wants to find the hidden leola root? Why? So he can destroy it? That's probably not a good idea, given that Neelix will just find more, and the ship does need food...but Chakotay certainly doesn't want to use it to cook her dinner (I hope) given his initial reaction when he first tasted it (he spat it out) and the whole ship's collective groan whenever they have to eat it.
