This was one really great and amazing fic. I really don't know any other way to describe it. I loved all the characters personalities and believe you captured their inner thoughts and feelings really well. Awesome job! (and a major plus that this is SanzoxGojyo!)

You have great story here, good story line without losing its character. I love this pair, the uptight monk and the carefree kappa, the dynamics of their characters is what makes it really interesting.

Okay, I'm going to review this chapter before I read the epilogue otherwise I'll forget. Great chapter, I loved it but let's take it from the top.

"Suddenly, he felt oddly enlightened. ‘Such feelings?’ He placed an uneasy hand on his chest. ‘Is that it? It’s not just something that Gojyo told me, not admiration for a leader, but something that I’ve felt all on my own?"

Now, I know I asked for more KD but this isn't what I had in mind. To be honest, I was giggling like mad all through this bit. I mean, yeah it's sweet and all but... Doku? Seemed all girlish and Disneyish. Just coz he's gay doesn't make him a girl. Just seemed a little too waffy I guess. Plus, I wanna see Kou's side in all this!

"Hakkai!” Goku called out in a low voice, which worried Hakkai to a small degree. Goku looked just like he was on the hunt and the healer didn’t like the gleam in the teen’s eyes."

*shivers* Oh, Goku on the prowl... You of all people know how happy reading about Goku makes me and I love that description.

"“Do you know why I forbade you from carrying through with your plan? Kidnapping does nothing to further my plans,” Kougaiji said. “From my experience with the Ikkou, I know that holding one of their members hostage will not make Genjyo Sanzo do anything, least of which is giving up his sutra. I want to best them in battle and earn the Maten-kyo fairly, but you don’t seem to understand that.”"

Okay, THAT was cool. Loved it.

"Kougaiji ignored him and continued to focus on Goku. “That was far too severe a punishment for what he did. I won’t forgive you for this.” Seeing Goku’s expression fall just a little, the prince once more addressed the swordsman...Goku looked back up at Sanzo, golden eyes quivering slightly. “He says he won’t forgive me.” Goku balled his hands into fists and went on before Sanzo could respond. “He said that it was whoever got there first – ‘Dibs,’ ya know! He never said that I couldn’t kill ‘im! I thought I could! Seiran hurt Gojyo, didn’t he? That means what I did was right!”"

Aw! Love this as well!

I also loved Lirin singing the song (I got it, I don't think you needed the footnote) and the 8Y kiss. Very sweet, though I didn't realise what had actually happened until Yaone pulled Hakkai back in to kiss her again.

Oh, and the conversation between Gojyo and Sanzo? I'm not going to quote the whole thing but it was great. Good job. Now to read the epilogue!

Cute ending to the chapter too - of course, in my universe, Lirin would've jumped on Gojyo and started scratching like a mad wildcat, green with jealousy... :D

To be honest, Gojyo was a lot more forgiving (and mature) than I would have been, in his shoes. He ought to punish Sanzo a bit in the last installment, just to even things up... *evil grin*

Aw, I was kinda hoping that it would be Kou and Doku to walk in on them. XD But Lil' Lirin and Yaone are good as well!

Ah, not the universe, Yaone. Just the 8Y fangirls, who need their usually embarrassed flirting!

The flashback to the arguement was lovely, I adore bitchy Sanzo. Very good build up to Goyjo exploding there.

Is that a promise? You know there's nothing I love more than a bishounen in chains. Though I also love Sanzo wanting Goyjo to trust HIM. I did not see that coming but I loved it. I adore insecure Sanzo even more than bitchy Sanzo.

Also, Sanzo and Goyjo are total exhibitionists. Making out in a prison cell when -among others- their charge and brother are in the building? They're damn lucky it had been Lirin to walk in on them, imagine how traumatised Goku would have been. HE would have known EXACTLY what Goyjo was doing to Sanzo.

Good chapter, I love it. By the way, while you are sating my 8Y tastebuds are we getting anymore KouDoku? There was a tiny bit in the first chapter and a hint in... Chapter 4 I think. But we haven't got anything else. And it does say in the summary that the fic has KD. That's false advertising, milady.
