I read the whole story (as far as it had come, anyway, was a long time ago) once, and I have now come back to read it again. Because this story is one of the few that actually are worth reading over again.
The way you write sucks the reader so much into Naruto, I feel like I'm actually him. Your language fits his age group perfectly, and he is such a sympathic, loveable character. I love how you write this, with your short sentances, it really fits, and mirrors thoughts very realistically.
The conflict you have, with Sasuke befriending Neji and all, is directly heart wrenching, simply because I end up feeling so terribly sad for poor Naruto.
You write the relashionship between Sasuke and Naruto so sweet and funny, and you add humor inbetween, which actually is funny. xD
I just love this story. One of, if not my absolute favorite fanfic ever. (:

I have a suggestion for you - your characters here retain very little of actual Naruto and Sasuke characterisations, quintessentially yes, but the morale, attitude, LIFE is much too diverse to be faithful to canon...or remotely near it lol.

My suggestion is to continue writing this please :) don't you dare leave this incomplete, sniff! But once done, you could actually publish this as an original, flesh the characters a bit more and cut the Kishimoto strings no kidding! You don't need it! Honestly I wish I was writing stuff this brilliant at your age but no, I was writing out my own version of Mills and Boons ack cough cough lol.

I'm a little confused by the ending of this chapter but GOD that was an awesome chapter. I love all the mixed feelings and Naruto and Sasuke's conversations. Also love all of Itachi's friends acting crazy. Adds a little humor that's just right.

I hate the story but other than Sowell you are undoubtedly the best writer I have encountered on fanfic so far - and believe me I've read plenty. I say that even though I am assuming you are about 14?

There is a lot of innuendo, a lot of maturity, foreshadowing but esp a strong themic presence in your writing - and that tantalising teenage angst which is so clearly Salinger. It must be the world you live in, at 14 my time was limited to drooling on my first love lol.

I'm just crabby because unfaithfulness is a sore point with me :) - I guess we all retain a little of Holden's aspiration regardless of age :)

Damn that was good! I put off reading this because I didn't want to read it so soon and then have to wait for an update but i couldn't help it anymore so I read it. I feel so bad for Naruto but this was still a very good chapter.
