OMG. I loved this. I've read the entire WHW series (several times) and this totally fits right in with the stories and is a wonderful addition to that "universe". I loved the following exchange:

Grammarnazi007: And she has marshmallows baked into the chocolate.

Redinkallovertheplace: So that’s it? Brownies trump sex?

And last but not least:

“Or, we could go up for a visit, try to catch them in the act.”

Oh please, will one of you write this scene? Pretty please?

So Jasper is the secret admirer?! I knew it! Not in the sense of actually 'knowing' it, but I highly suspected!

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that this scenario is gospel for the original series because my Jasper love knows no bounds!

That being said, I loved this little glimpse into the lives of some of the peripheral characters. The memories were hysterical and I'm guessing that was little Ella with Lorelai during the ill-fated Valentine's card shopping trip? A nice little throwaway inclusion. Not to mention Logan and the suggestive texting. That made me laugh. I could see him sighing in resignation at the end before trudging off to his meeting.

Thanks for sharing! I'll go back to nursing my fond hopes for Ella and Jasper now. :)

Sigh. Well, you know I love it, because it's all played out in my head as well as yours. These are our children, our godchildren, and they are nothing if not high on the amusement scale.

Though, in this one, surprisingly, it was Grey that had me giggling the hardest.

Katherine had Grey by the straps of his overalls, literally carrying him back, his feet nowhere near the floor. His little arms were crossed, no longer fighting to break free of her hold.

Couldn't. Stop. Giggling. I mean, I love the whole thing. The Logan dangling modifier, Rosa and her mysterious Woodstock card, the boys with their 'me too!' choruses, and all the little revelations that came in the course of our converstation about the now grown kids, all because of your infamous brownies.

It was just perfect, and perhaps the first time I've ever seen anyone write a companion piece to someone else's series. It's like fan fiction for fan fiction. If anyone ever questioned your crown for being the WHW Superfan, I think you can just show them this and wear your sparkly tiara with pride.
