He didn't corner her in a dark corridor, He didn't catch her when she didn't fall. He didn't open his arms when the Golden Trio (assumedly her only friends) pushed her away It was real. I like how you made their passion fulfilling although it didn't work out in the end - and it's very suitable for the two characters. Nice work :D
