wow, i really like this. it's short, but evocative, and i like the idea that ian was there in that past, too. that conchobar wasn't necessarily sara's destined soulmate; that maybe they recognized their past in each other, but he wasn't the only option for her. poor noble ian!

It might be my issues with the show itself, but I never understood the whole "Brood mare" thing. Besides that, my own personal nit, I really liked this story. The repetition really echoes the way the visions are done in the show itself. Nice.

Powerful, poignant... and something my own fanfic does not entertain.. But I must admit with reading fanfics like yours it makes me entertain the idea of reconsidering the path I've chosen for them...
