Wow..I hadn't realized it has been four years since your last update. But I still have to say it...this was a really nice story and it truly deserves to be completed. I hope you come back to it in the near future and complete the excellent story you started. I guess I understand if you don't considering it has been so long but I'm still rather curriose if Leo gets to live till the end and doesn't get killed off in the final chapter or something. I mean that would make sense but still I think he should live to protect his brothers and keep them out of reach of the FBI since he kinda made a big mess that you can't just clean up(unless your nick cage in national treasure,the FBI kinda just let him go for some reason). I'm awaiting an update but completly understand if you no longer wish to complete the story just please don't take it down and don't be offended if I optimistly assume it would have ended happily even if it wasn't your original intention.
This story is really interesting. I was going to wait to review until I got to the last chapter but I have to say it. This story is really good. While I can't completly say I can see Leo becoming a serial killer but while I was reading it I found alott of similarities between your Leo and Light Yagami from Death note, particulary in the way they both find reasoning in the fact that their victims were criminals so deserved to die. And once I thought about it like that, I could actually see Leo becoming a killer. They both started out killing accidently but then the more they reasoned with themselves and in light's case was able to see through the guilt, the more they did and the more thought out they got with killing. I just hope Leo's future doesn't end up like Light's did. I really don't like the idea of poor Leo dying even if hes slowly becoming a villian...and I hope my random comparison doesn't make me look like a complete idiot who didn't see the point.
I'm really interested in this story! I'd even go so far to say that I love it! It's a take on how Leo could snap that I haven't seen before, and now people are closing in on him. I want to know how it ends! I know it's been awhile, but please, please, PLEASE update soon!
Ok, I guess first I should say I personally love the turtles and I couldn't tell you when I first started watching them... its been forever. Now reading about them since I'm not watching too many episodes anymore is somehow even better... especially when I find a story like this. I think I spent maybe 2 weeks on and off reading this story lol. It may have been 3... And I love it. I pray to God that I can write like this one day. It's amazing. Your work takes the reader on a journey, across the world... to distant places... through mystic battles and deep conversation. There was not one moment where I did not feel that I was in New York City or South America watching these turtles do these amazing things. Amazing. You're work is amazing and I absolutely love it. I thought for a fraction of a second I was going to see the ending of this story. lol. I just realized the last time you updated was 3 years ago. Get on the ball dude! You can't leave us hanging like that! At least tell me how it ends! A quick summary! Does Leo get caught? Did he finally snap out of it and become the hero we know he is? What happened with Casey and April? Did they crack under the pressure? lol. If you don't finish this story... thats fine! I just want to know how it ends. lol.
Oh wow. I usually don't review the very first chapter... I just leave a long review at the latest posted chapter but man... this story rocks, and I mean it is killer! God, I wish I had your talent. Maybe someday lol. And I am looking so forward to the rest of this story... its absolutely amazing. :D
Please update! I don't usually like the "dark/bad" turtle stories, but I've been completely drawn in my yours. I must know what happens! Wonderful characterization with the others. Leo is OOC, of course, but it's done well. Don't stop with this, please!
Wow, this story has been amazing. Very well written. I've seen Leo go a little dark before, but this is good. I wonder when Raph and Splinter will truly find out. I hope you'll update this. Please. :)
The way you make such a horrifyingly out of character act something so believable and smooth is quite a feat. I'm seriously looking forward to the retribution. And Mike... poor Mikey. He finds, within a second, that his brother has become a monster.
What made this chapter for me was the irony. From Raph's good-natured amusement at the hypocrisy of night runs to Leo's newfound thoughts of vigilance that he had so strongly battled against in his own brother not too long ago.
It's horrible to think, but this only proves how alike he is to Raphael. Only, bottle up for so long, this fire erupted with a hurricane's force.
The way Leo measures killing seventeen people and oversleeping with the same significance is haunting, and that eerie smile sends chills down my spine. It so strongly signifies how completely the wound cord can break. Excellent play of emotions.

So...oh...my...god, FINISH THIS! I got through Dark of the Night, and...and...uh...the other stuff I read and now can't remember, but god, it was a lot and it was finished and then I said, "Hey Cork. Didn't I read this on Stealthy and it was't finished? But that's okay, cause here it is on fan fic, so therefore, it shall be finished."
And so hurt that it's not finished!
In case I hadn't shown it, I'm really in to this story now and I'm just sick with anticipation that you haven't completed it. Hurts so.
ok its like 1 AM and I have to work tomarrow...I want to read the next two chapters but if I do I'll be dying...then again I'm dying to know what happens next! lol. I love it. I love the gritty dark horse feel the story has to it while still retaining a smidge of the movie. I love Leo stories to begin with, and I'll admit at the beginning I was was kinda eh? He's killing? I grew up with the original comics and those were VERY much blood and death, so this, to me is very much in line with canon directions.
I like the agents. After all, they are just doing their jobs. I hope the story keeps going!

Very interesting and terrifying story of a dark future for Leo, and I'm really enjoying how it makes me sit on the edge of my chair as I'm reading- wondering when/if the police will catch Ren/Leo, how his family is going to respond, etc. The kid Cash is probably going to play an important part in Leo's discovery, or at least in Raph discovering that his *brother* is the Vigilante. (Leo will probably end up killing Cash's Dad, or one of his criminal connections. Or they'll know the guy that Leo didn't end up killing.) I'm also curious if the police will eventually make a connection between the Nightwatcher and the Vigilante; Cash has seen Raphael after all- can't be too hard to notice that someone has three fingers. So probably the kid will think his newfound father-person is a murderer and either confront Raph or call the police . . .
Also, April is in SO MUCH trouble for supplying the turtles with throwing stars right now, buying weapons for someone else. Especially since they've been used in murders. Things are not looking good for her. I know people are sent to jail for selling weapons to people who don't have licenses, and I can't see the fact that she was getting throwing stars for teenage mutant ninja turtles will make things any better for her! Although I must say that it stretched my imagination when the detectives clued in on April at the weapons shop, when there were other places to investigate and at least one other man on that list.
So yeah, I think a confrontation between the police and Nightwatcher would be a fairly fascinating addition to the story, but I realize you've probably got it all planned out, how this will end.
Not only have you managed to turn Leo into a deranged serial killer, but you've made it actually make sense! Even as he is changing, he is still - in an incredibly twisted sort of way - in character. It's ingenius!
I like how you start out each chapter with a snippet from his time in Central America. It really emphasises just how many experiences he's had that he does not share with his brothers and how, at least in his mind, that distances him from them. I am interested to see how that subplot carries out. I was just as shocked as Leo when the woman who had nursed him back to health stole his ninjaken.
The FBI agents were introduced quite nicely. I like how we get a sense of their personalities but how, at the same time, you keep the focus on Leo. Adding them to the fic really upped that sense of danger.
This fic is oozing with suspense! Every time Leo goes out, I am worried for him. When he got knocked out at Javier's place, I didn't realise at first that Javier had died and was worried what he was going to do to Leo once Leo was out cold in his living room. Especially after that point in the fic, I worry about what will happen. And then you leave us hanging with the feds at April's place AND their getting more details on Leo's physical appearance... holy crap!
There is just so much to this fic! I hope you're fixing to update soon!
