This has to be one of the best stories I have ever read. A review from me is very rare and this story was amazing the whole way through. Dudley has always interested me and seeing things from his perspective rather than from Harry's is something I have always wanted.

Clever, realistic, extremely well-thought and well-constructed. Your work is much more reminiscent of a character study than it is of a Harry Potter fic.

so, i must say, this was amazing.
i usually think of dudley as just some nasty little child that rowling cooked up as a childhood terror for harry. but you really did something here, all the while keeping this amazingly realistic!

I really like the way that Dudley's life has turned out. Heh, he went to Grunnings anyway. It was great to see things not turn out all happily ever after with everyone getting on good terms, but in a realistic way. Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into this story. I had a lot of fun reading it, even though I had to wait a while to finish it.

You did a good job with that bit of awkwardness of reunion. It would be interesting to see another get together between those two.

I really enjoyed Dudley's struggles to find his place. It was great to see him out in the real world trying to take care of himself. It was also nice to see what has happened to some other people. I like his bouncer job.

It took 2 years for DH to come out in paperback, which is why I am finishing the story just now. I really like how Dudley has changed and grown up, especially in this chapter. He isn't the most eloquent person, but he knew what the truth was and was able to come to terms with how he was raised.

I rarely review, but I feel I must express my opinion on this wonderful bit of fanfiction. I have to admit when I began reading this story I thought it dragged on a bit, but as the chapters kept going I was sucked into the life of Dudley Dursley, a character who, in my opinion is too often overlooked. I imagine your portrayal is quite like what JK Rowling would have written had she gone into more detail on Dudley's life, and I applaud you. My favorite stories list had earned a new fic.
