I like the touch with the reinforced door, and Dani's loneliness was brought out nicely. And the rest of the writing was great too... though Dani saw Maddie at the end of Kindred Spirits.

This looks like a really promising story. I can't wait to see what happens next in all this. Really, if it's half as fun as Estrelas, it's going to be amazing. :)
