Flygon Pirate 2009-02-27 . chapter 1Wow, that was really good.
Amazing job! |
piewacket 2007-08-10 . chapter 1Congratulations! This story has been added to The Pirates of the Caribbean Fan Fiction Hall of Fame forum. It is under the scenes from DMC category. |
Jennifer Lynn Weston 2007-08-01 . chapter 1> Forgotten by all. <
No. Not forgotten by all.
Though short, that was one of the most affecting scenes in DMC, and I think Ted & Terry would approve of your interpretation. |
Franz 2007-06-29 . chapter 1 This is one of the best and DEFINITLY the most meaningful pirates fic I've ever read. Thank you for posting it. |
ElvenSailorGirl 2007-04-30 . chapter 1I am at a loss for words. That was beautiful and so very eloquent.
I love the way the main character thinks of life and the way our fears evolve. He's definitely on a higher plane of thought. The parallel between life and the stage is so very apt for the fic. Overall the effect is lovely and the words are lovely and the whole thing makes a not-so-good movie be lovely for a moment.
I absolutely adore this part:
"To the depths."
Those words seal my fate. But the depths is not where I shall
reside, my soul shall fly free.
After exiting to stage right.
Those lines make the fic. They really do. And I adore it. |
JeanieBeanie33 2007-04-17 . chapter 1I like it when people write about characters who aren't focused on. Personally, I think you wrote down what that faithful sailor was feeling very well. One other thing I liked, that I must mention, is the very last line. Clever word use. All in all, you did a beautiful job. |
shiftcommathree 2007-04-17 . chapter 1Oh. My. God. Wow.
I'm not religious at all, but this story sent shivers down my spine. It was beautifully written and now I think I might cry everytime I watch that part of the movie. Pure genious to take such a small moment in the scheme of the POTC movies, and make it your own. This story just hit me right there.
"'To the depths.'
Those words seal my fate. But the depths is not where I shall reside, my soul shall fly free.
After exiting to stage right."
I loved the way you ended that, and I loved how you connected it to that Shakespeare quote... Omg, I'm gonna be here all day if I keep telling you how amazing each line you wrote is!
I'm Jewish, and I'm not religious, but your story struck a chord with me all the same. THAT is the mark of a truly amazing writer.
Wow. |
Flightstorm 2007-04-17 . chapter 1Wow! I can't say that I've ever read a story about that particular brave sailor. Well done for breaking free of cliches!
Very touching, I must admit! To the depths... er, I mean, to my favourites! |
Theif+Sand=Bandit 2007-04-17 . chapter 1 Wow! Its like you read my brain! I was thinking about that all day and how it would be so cool if someone made it into a story especially if it was in his point of view and HERE IT IS! AND ITS AWESOME! AND THAT'S EVEN THE TITLE I HAD IN MY HEAD! You're amazing. You're story is amazing. Mad props! |
Steely Phil Gordon 2007-04-17 . chapter 1 Interesting concept. I like the fact that sometimes people take a step back from the obvious characters and confusing love triangles to try something different. Good job! |
