A lovely little idea and piece, though the musical's influence is tragically strong. Gueulemer, not Brujon, was the other of the Patron-Minette's leaders, and it was certainly not Thenardier's gang. His hinting toward his forthcoming death was slightly heavy-handed, but other than that, this is completely superb. An excellent idea and a well-written story.

(I know it has been years since you've written it, and the chances of you seeing this review are slim, but I must review fics just as a reminder to myself in the future that I've already read them... because I am a moron.)

Oh wow...that was great. So great. Petit Gervais as Claquesous! That's something I didn't expect, but it fits... wow. Maybe do another piece with a confrontation between Valjean and Claquesous? :) *hopes*

Interesting...I always wondered what happened to Petit Gervais. I like the idea of him joining Patron-Minette, but it didn't really seem to fit...isn't Claquesous supposed to be middle-aged? It would make a bit more sense if he grew up to be Montparnasse. Still, a very interesting idea, and well-written.

Wow, cool! I never even thought about Petit Gervais after his little incident with Valjean, for him to become Claquesous is definitely rather a cool idea. And then, the Le Cabuc incident, very cool, very good, very well-written, very thought-provoking and very enjoyable!
