Ohmigosh, this was wonderful. So angsty and cute and it made me all happy even though the ending was so sad. I've only recently gotten into Bones and realized that Hodgins/Angela is one of the Best Things Ever, so it was really a treat to find such a well-written and thoughtful story. You did an excellent job of showing Angela's independence and Hodgins' overprotective-ness and not making either quality yield to the other. It was also refreshing to find a story that was sweet without being syrupy.

The one problem I had was that the tense shifted from past to present halfway through, and it was a little distracting. I actually liked the ending being in present tense, though, so... yeah.

Ya, so I was mentally planning out how I was going to praise your Jack, then you went and shot Angela and I forgot what I was going to say. This happened both times I read it.
So let's just say that if I weren't stealing squeeing over your b-day post for me on LJ, I would probably be crying right now.
