Very well written though. I like how it's short, and simple, but still very...striking. It's very different from what you usually write, but I like it a lot :)

this is so sad and lovely. i feel sorry for both of them. for remus letting sirius mess him around and for sirius beleiving himself to be so wrong. they both seem incapable of true happiness or satisfaction and it is sad. to think yourself incapable of love...

Excellent study in failure of communication. The relationship is hanging on, but it's in danger; if Remus finds the resolve to end it, what then? But if only they could both open up and say what they really feel, they would be so much happier. It's very realistic. It's what happens in life, people fail to communicate. Maybe it's because they're both male - it does seem to be harder for them to express their feelings in words. (A broad generalisation to which there are exceptions, I know.) But you leave some room for hope at the end. I like that. "He deserves better" - but there can be no-one better for Remus than Sirius. And when Sirius understands that, things will be right between them.

Oh my God! It was so damn short but I cried like a baby. Surprisingly, not at Remus' despair at his daily rejections and feeling of loss as night turns to day, but at Sirius' hidden depth of feeling. I love your work but this, in particular Sirius' story, was touching and so beautifully written. I am a bit of a crier but seriously - you did it with one sentence - "He deserves better, but I won't let him have it."

I like how you did two, very short, to-the-point chapters in different perspectives. It really suited the story. It's good to understand the thoughts of both Remus and Sirius.

It was very sad. You got their characters very right though, which is what makes the story believable. It's sad that Sirius would think he was incapable of love, but it's understandable, with the upbringing he had.

One of the best things about Remus Lupin and Sirius Black in the HP series is that not much is written!
This is different than your usual take on the puppies but it could fit in with their personalities. I feel that this writing is also good. I feel that this writing is also good. If my praise seems more effusive on the fluffy pieces, I think that is because few people write fluff as well as you do or with as much intelligence and class.

i finally decided to read this... and now i'm regretting it.

GOSH! Sirius CAN, C-A-N! love!! n-n-n-nerg! go away! I HATE YOU! gosh! why'd i read that? i hate angst! What am i? a glutton for punishment all of a sudden? GOSH! i need to go find some fluffy crap now! bye! gosh! *sniffs* i hate you world. *sniffs*

I've read angst-y-er though. GOSH! there was this one fic that had me BAWLING at the end! it was so sad! i like- i had to hug my sweater closer to me and i was like, pouring out my sadness into it! my sweater was SOAKED! it was so sad! it was a Naruto fanfiction and it was called something like 'Naruha' or something like that and it was SO freckin' SAD!! Naruto had his heart broken and they almost died! it had a happy ending though, and that made me smile! YAY!! happy endings! (You rock happy endings! yeah!)

...okays. i really know how I ended up talking about some other story in this review. I hope you can forgive me for it though. *shrug* um, oh well.

Ah, this is beautiful (the two-angled thing just brings it all together). Yay RLSB! Nice fic ^.^
