Even though it was sad, I really enjoy reading this fic and I thought you done a good job. I agree with the reviewer's point on making a title change. Regardless, this fic definitely gives a good identity of Misato's character. As for the kiss on EOE, I also believe Misato attempted that kiss because she cared and loved Shinji. Look forward towards your upcoming fics. Keep it up.

Long time, no see Fifth Horseman. This is your old friend Mr. Lee. I'm an author now and I do Naruto fics, but being one of my favorite authors, I check on you from time to time. For an one hour one shot, this fic was certainly a deep and captivating look at my favorite fan service girl. May she rest in peace. I truly believe that she would have shown Shinji 'the rest' of that passionate kiss. If only hadn't things hadn't ended so sadly for her. Well done as always old friend. You are still THE BEST SHINJIXMISATO WRITER :)! I hope you'll make another ShinjixMisato fic someday and I look forward to your future projects. Later :)!!

Beautifully written, you made me cry. I have always thought the "grown up kiss" talk that Misato gives to Shinji is the single most emotional event in the series and movies. It breaks my heart every time I see it.

I'm a big Misato fan, I find her one of the strongest, most compelling and interesting characters in the story. What you have written here even helps me to know her a little better.

It would have been nice to relieve the angst at the end by having Ayanami appear and have a very brief "come with me" type conversation but then I never was one to go for angsty endings. I always prefer hope, even if it's just a small drop of hope.

Anyway, thanks, added to my favourites (of which there are few).

This gave me enough emotional trauma to continue with my 'I love you' update. Thanks heaps!

Language BAD. But, other than that, nice work. As I Lay Dying didn't seem like the best title, though, since the fic was mainly about the emotional, physical, and psychological pain Misato had experienced and how she tried to make up for it. Perhaps 'Pain' would have been a better title.

Still, it sounds like I'm doing nothing but offering critique, but I'm not. I quite liked this fic. 6.8/10

Good insight into Misato there. Not much else I can really say. For an hour though, it's a hell of a lot of work, with a nice depth to it.

My heart cries out for Shinji to come back up and drag her back into the elevator in the knick of time...I'm pathetic.

All in all a great monologue from the viewpoint of my favorite character. Made me misty...
