My favourite line would be, without question, "They carry the scars and marks that weave a tale of tragedy and pain, claiming to hold nothing even as they clutch tightly to what they hold dear." A clear and accurate parallel to Sanzo himself - I've noticed how possessive he is about the gun and the sutra, and his hands are an expression of that. The tone is just perfect for the setting - contemplative and peaceful in a melancholic sort of way, the afterglow clear in the way Goku's thoughts run.
Nice work. Keep it up.
