Wow! Just, Wow! This story shouldn't work, but it totally does! Excellent job! I'm only sorry it wasn't longer. A, I would have loved to see their love take a longer time to build, and B, I would have loved to see their rule develop. I would have loved to see you actually develop Mordor into an actual land, with real characters, politics and culture rather than the blanket hell that it is in the books. And I would have loved to see the war of the ring from their point of view. I loved the ending though, sad as it was! It really puts a different spin on the victory of Gondor and the destruction of Mordor!

Huh? It's a Mary Sue fic, clearly, but... it's a GOOD Sue fic. Well, if you like romance, that is.

The only flaw (your writing styyle is excellent, and your knowledge of the world superb) is that Sauron seems too human, and he falls for the elf too quickly. And as for the Elf, Lithiriel, how could she even stand to be in Sauron's prescence, if even hearing the Black Speech makes an elf cringe?

Other than the unlikelyness of the plot, it's a good story.

Ah,this is one of the very few fanfictions that I love...this impossible pairing,you made it real,sometimes I felt it was more real than the relationship between Arwen and Aragorn,if you know what I mean.Such a beauty...sorry,but I´m at loss with words,don´t know what to write...so just one more time..beautiful!

I have a confession to make. I was searching ff.n's LOTR section using the "Romance" filter and various primary characters in search of a good laugh. I found a few for Treebeard and then thought, "Hey! What about a Sauron romance? That's got to be freakin' hilarious!" I clicked on your story.

Three, maybe four hours have passed, and I just finished your story. I have to admit that you hooked me! Initially, my curiosity begged to know how you were going to tackle this. I loved the tension and suspense in the first two chapters; those first few chilling meetings between Lithiniel and Sauron left me breathless! I had to keep reading because just as I was forming questions about the realism of this pairing ("Why doesn't he kill her?" "What about the ring?" "Isn't Sauron just a spirit?" "Does he even have a capacity to love?"), the characters themselves were addressing them. I felt that pretty much all of your explanations or reasonings were highly plausible. And anyway, this story certainly gives Sauron much more dimension and interest as a villain. He didn't go soft, by any means, and even at the end I was still wondering how he would react to Lithilien's treatment of Sarna.

I came to get a laugh; instead I must give you credit! You pulled it off amazingly well! I am a skeptic no more. :)

WOW! It's taken me this long to finally get to finish all this. So impressed as always! I hope more of the same genre will come soon...or more SW? :-D
