One aspect I've really liked about this story is the flashbacks, and this chapter in particular had a nice flow between the flahsback and what was happening present day. Good work. ;) I can't wait for more.

That's rough, to have seen what he wants to do to her. Effective, though. And I love that JJ's got a couple of big brothers in this one - David and Morgan. "He's more likely to take his time with her." Oh, God. That's such a horrifically painful double-sided coin. To have her live longer and give them a better shot at saving her life, but also to have her suffer more. Damn. "when it came to JJ, ego and ownership be damned" Oh, Penelope. I love her. I love your her, who is really the show's her, so good on you. "She’d waited so long for him to hurt her" Ouch. This one's just full of little heart-wrenching lines. Exactly as it should be at this point in the story. I love it. "To herself, JJ said the word “trigger" " Ah, how CM. The monster isn't a monster, until something transforms him. So glad you updated. I needed a CM fix, and this was perfect.
