I can't express in words how well you write, I really can't. I'll try to though. Sam and Dean are just perfect in this. I love how you made the contrast between Drew (who btw, I hate - excellently written) to Dean, who's basically the best big brother you can get. And Sam's lucky enough to have him, and I just love how you made Sam so appreciative of his brother's companionship and eternal caretaking, it was just so cute, especially the part where Sam says "I love you man" and Dean gets all embarrassed. lol! Adorable. And Danny! :( I feel so sorry for the guy. Not only did he have a crappy brother who he loved, but he now gets to spend eternity alone. I had tears in my eyes at that point, and that is truly an accomplishment because I just don't cry much at all, and this story got me so close to doing that. I also really liked how Sam confesses to loving Dean for who he is, and not just what other people thought of him in school. I love how Dean simply felt better just by seeing Sam happy. Also, the part at the end with the gun move where Dean's teaching Sam (who now knows how to make Dean really proud/happy - love that)... that was beautiful. I love the little moments where you made Sam cry into Dean's jacket after losing the Nintendo and Dean just comforted him without teasing him... or the part where Sam accidentally lets it slip that Dean's his best friend - so cute! Seriously, you should be immensely proud of yourself. I loved this fic and I think you're a terrific writer! Thankyou! :)

I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know I still love this story. So well-written. One of the things that struck me this time around was how true this rang to each brother as we used to know them. My how much they've changed since this was written, huh? I remember this Sam, and I miss him so much! And I remember when Dean's lack of self-esteem was something that made him so human and sympathetic, as opposed to the way we're beaten over the head with it as of late. I love Sam and Dean right where and how you put them, both young and grown. You did a great job with this, and it's still one of my favorites. :) Liz
Aewnaur 2008-04-20 ch 6,	abuseoh wow that was such a good brother fic.. perfectly balanced flashbacks with current events .. the episode-like danny/drew connection paralleling with our bros was perfect and the end with sammy letting dean teach him something new that even if dean knew sam was just doing it for that reason he still wouldn't have said no cause sam needed to know it and .. yeah.. anyway.. lol.. great fic ..

I read this story about two weeks ago I think when I had only seen a few episodes of Supernatural (don't know if you remember my review to 'the road is rough'...) but I've finally caught up and I'm now in the middle of season two. Completely hooked :o) Anyways, I absolutely loved this story and I'm sorry for now leaving a review before!! You're such a talented author... I mean, I read your stories when I knew nothing and close to nothing of Supernatural and not only did they draw me in but they sort of introduced me to Sam and Dean... When I watched the episodes I never felt like your stories were any different then the real deal. Hope you understand what I'm trying to say here. Bottomline: You rock :o)

You've captured Sam's and Dean's relationship so wonderfully, and I found myself in near tears by the end of it. That saying, I actually really enjoyed how this story was told always in Sam's POV -- I've found that it's very rare to come across one this well written. Anyways, great job! I loved every sentence of it, I'm looking forward to reading more of your stories :)

Its rare to find a story that - all though Sam's POV no less - highlights Dean's youth in both a good and sad way, and also illustrates the depth of emotion he felt for Sam, love in a way that wasn't just protective, or just obligation or even just normal... but that he had a hard life, too, in a different way.. and Sam's unconditional love to HIM, throughout it all, was just as powerful and sustaining and supporting as Dean's was back to Sam. I was almost crying at the end of it, I LOVED that so much. I hope you get inspired to do some more along that line at a later date.. Lots of stories highlight what Sam gets out of the relationship. But they rarely provide a convincing argument for what Dean gets in return. You really nailed it - AN equal return, equal not having to mean 'the same'. They both gave everything they could THAT they could in the WAYS they could. And thats what made them equal. :D Love!

imissmymind 2007-10-31 ch 6,	abuseGorgeous. I don't know how it took me this long to notice this story, but I just plugged away at the whole thing and it's amazing. Especially loved the flashbacks and I think the third person limited on Sam was really effective. I like how you didn't waver on that, either. Sometimes that's tempting. Anyway, great job. Looking forward to reading more from you.

Another great story thanks for entertaining me this afternoon and keeping me from cleaning the house. till next time
