novelist742 published a fic called "Ohisashi Buri" and it has the same meaning as your fiction title. She published it a long time ago and it was SasuSaku. Unfortunately, she discontinued it.

So I'm wondering if you ever saw it or you never heard of it.

It was sad to hear that Shika died in this fic but i did read your warning and i just had to read it because it really did touched me,.. this story i mean.. and the ending when you mentioned about shika taking care of kurenai's baby for asuma, i really think that is what he would really do in the manga..
