LOL! That was hilarious! Poor Frank and Joe, good thing they don't really have to deal with that. But Nancy gets most of my sympathy. A gangly, reddish creature? Jar-Jar Binks? *winces* That's going to leave a mark!

But my favorite part: Garfield boxers. *snorts* I don't even know which is funnier, the fact that Frank Hardy even owns Garfield boxers, or the fact that Joe "borrowed" his brother's Garfield boxers. *dies laughing*

This was one of the few stories I printed out to take on my road trip out of town. My significant thought I was absolutely looney when I burst out laughing for no apparent reason(he was driving, and had no idea of what I was reading). I have to say, I found this to be a very clever and humorous one-shot, and a part of me wishes I had thought of it first. Very inspired writing, and I enjoyed every moment of reading it.

I meant to reply to you before you posted, but time got away from me. :) I loved this! I laughed the entire time, and kept wondering what they would have thought if they our site and forums and such!

I didn't recognize the reference for "solve-a-long" but I caught Mr. Rogers, the Count von Count, Jar Jar (which I cringed at.. poor Nancy!), and so on and so forth. This was really entertaining. We are so mean, aren't we?

The boxers bit was funny, and I could just picture the look on Frank's face when Joe admitted that he did borrow the boxers! I can see Frank now. "There are some things you should never share. One is toothbrushes. The other is boxers."
