the men refer to the women by the first names much more often than the other way around.
i mean, we can all see mr. darcy saying elizabeth's name in the throes of passion, but what is she to say?
mr. darcy?
then again, if my first name was fitzwilliam, i would probably want people to call me by my surname too..
