Very good story so far - intriguing and very "Doylish" plot, interesting characters. So curious what happens next! Very much hope no harm will be done to Cavennesses. And hope Mycroft has nothing to do with this, dear me. Can't actually believe it's to his taste...there is allways other way.

oh VH you have surpassed yourself. I've never properly read one of your stories before this but your marvelous reviews pressed me into it.
You have created an excellent villain in the person of Hollingworth, he carries all the vices and traits of the impossible aristocracy that Holmes was able to oppose from time to time. Such a villain was rarely seen in the canon and I am thrilled that you have pulled it off here so nicely!
You're Watson, Mycroft and especially Your Holmes were most certainly in character and the aid of Lestrade and esp Mycroft were wonderful surprises.
I intend to raed your other stories as well so this is not the end of my reviewing.
You have pulled off an aweinspiring story that has a true ring of the origional canon and your own special touch as well.

There is very little I can say here that I haven't said before.

Mycroft was also in character. It was great that he came around. Endings always work better that way. Oh, and the plot on this one was excellent, as well.

The one and only thing that I don't like has to do with format. The chapters are a wee bit on the short side (and not such a wee bit in the sequel). That's all. Carry on.

OH MY GOODNESS! HOLMES ARRESTED?! Excellent turn of events! I just kind of sat there, staring at my computer screen, "in a stupefied state." Poor Watson, all on his lonesome. Ah, this is so much fun!
