Interesting ending to have Snape trapped once again, albeit in a lesser way, into the service of others. At least he has Alexandra.

While I wouldn't call his enmity with Sirius a "childhood" sort of grudge (Sirius being quite willing to carry it forward into adulthood, not to mention Snape after Sirius' escape still thought he was a mass murderer), I *can* see Snape's fury at that time driving him to an indescretion.
