SongoftheDarquePhoenix 2009-08-03 . chapter 1That must have been increadibly painful for Vader, to have his son so close, but still out of his reach. Beautiful fic. |

 Veglma 2009-01-19 . chapter 1Kin, huh? :D
*shake head with a smile* Well, well, this is going to make the next meeting between Luke and Vader awkward, at least for Luke, I bet.
*tries not to laugh at the ending* |
 Ianna 2008-12-15 . chapter 1 Good one :-D |
Vader's Fallen Angel 2008-10-03 . chapter 1Most of the time I didn't know if I should laugh or cry. I went back and forth.
"Of course you are; you're only flash-blinded, suffering from a mild concussion and amnesia. You have a strange definition of fine, child." (laugh)
"And when you become a Jedi, what then? You will be the last. Alone," Kin asked, sadly, still holding on to him. "Believe me, that is not pleasant." (cry)
"I don’t suppose he even knows what it’s like to loose family," he murmured.
Gloved fingertips brushed hair from his eyes almost affectionately Luke didn’t complain. "I would not be so sure." (not sure what to do)
You see what you do to me!
The ending was wonderful. Good old Han.

 Khrysalis 2008-01-27 . chapter 1Absolutely facinating.
What an incredible opportunity. For both Luke and Vader, though I cannot help but feel the strength of the moment for mostly Anakin. What were the odds of this priceless opportunity? One where he could touch his son, hold him, and take care of him in his weakness, touching the barest ghost of memories not made: Luke's infanthood and childhood. The fact that Luke could not see him and didn't recognize him through his blindness and head injury allowed him to cast identity away. With no need to be either Skywalker or Vader, there were no walls of deep hatred and intense confusion and grief to seperate his words and intentions from Luke's understanding. He could talk and listen freely.
Indeed, it might have been the most free moment that he had had in a long, long time.
Beautiful story. Thank you for it, Mina. |
