E! It's so exciting! After a few years of not dreaming... it's so exciting! I love it! I get chills when I read that last line.

Something I've loved about several versions of the tale is how it mentions a fairy gave her dreams. Usually it's the "good" fairy, but this is even better.

I still like this almost-random mention of her family. It's sweet, and it makes her so real. She has ever right to be thinking of such things and I adore her for it.

Amelinne becomes more and more appealing by the minute. She really is an intricate character, isn't she? I'm suspecting she is feeling some sympathy and pity for Briar Rose. It's sweet.

Poor princess! Wouldn't it be weird to hear about a kid being raised to be your husband? So bizarre.

Oh, that chemistry between Rose and Amelinne at the end was so priceless! So cute! It's fun to see them on a similar wave length. Lilas bugs the heck out of me. So naive, so dumb!

I know it's a horrible situation here, but at the same time I can't help but see some pathetic humor in it.

Amelinee isn't that horrible. She's an evil fairy, but yet practical. I like her.

Dang ametuer fairies trying to save people. Don't they just drive you nuts?

This is such a poignant chapter! Being jealous of people in that kind of poverty. It's beautiful.

Ah, just love it! It's so simple and so pleading! I feel so bad for her, and yet you don't go into this awful description of her angst. Kudos there. I love this mixture of slow boredom. No, this is not a fast-paced story, but it really gets you feeling for her. I like this focus on the mystery of what happened.

At least she was asleep for some of the time... at least that's something. A few years off that sentence.
