You have GOT to be kidding me. Every time I think, "okay. This is it. This is the LAST chapter tonight, and then I'm going to bed. For real, this time!" You go and throw a curve ball like this, and before I know it, it's after 1am, not 10pm - and the end of chapter 14 not 4! Evil... You are pure evil! (But I kinda love it.)

Did they really just have sex in Akiyama's house? Really? Asdfghjkl... At least he ended up with SOMEone, though I kinda wanted him to end up with Moriko (hehe, forest child).
That being said, brava! That was great. You blended two different storylines with a feudal KagSess and modern KagSess very well. I liked having both versions in one story. I loved the over all fiction. However, I have to admit I didn't really like the characters (if you could tell from my other reviews). To be honest, my favorite characters in this story were Akiyama, Katsuo, Natsumi, Shiori, and Misao, in that order. Yup. But like I said, the plot and story idea? Genius.

This last scene in this chapter doesn't make sense. Throughout the story, Kagome's powers are remarked upon as being extremely powerful and not to be dismissed, but then her barrier around her son (which should be all the more powerful because of her maternal instinct) is weak? And naraku takes her downs in seconds? Hrm. This just looks like the setup for yet another damsel in distress sequence. :/

Hahaha-I'm still digging for reasons to get Akiyama and Kagome together. Every chapter I find something to convince myself Akiyama is better. Somehow. And I justified my belief that they should be allowed to speak together by claiming in my head that the powerful last Miko has no ties to any one of the four territories/Lords and can stand by herself. Even if she tends to sink into weak, damsel in distress mode with Sesshoumaru. Yup. I am desperately supporting Akiyama. I could only stop shipping him and Kagome if he turned out to be evil.

Oh noes. I'm feeling myself fall for Akiyama. It's never good to fall for the OC. Poop. Now I'm going to be heartbroken when Kag/Sesh have their happily ever after. ㅠ-ㅠ And I keep catching myself grasping for reasons why Akiyama is better. Oh dear.
Oh, BUT, I loved that moment between Kag&Sesh when she questioned his sexuality. Priceless. Reminded me why I like those two together, even though I now support Akiyama.

"He was not counting, but over the last eighty days or so..." Fufufu, I love this and this story as a whole. ㅅ
But...I kind of find it irksome that in almost all fanfics I've read, Kagome is incapable of properly punishing her child and setting boundaries as an authority figure... I understand how that necessitates Sesshomaru's presence as the parent to be obeyed, but it still bothers my feminist side and my maternal pride.
Ah well. I still love this incredibly original fanfic. ㅅ

Great ending, great chapter!

For the most part, I like this story. Your writing is good and I like the plot. I just have one issue that keeps it from being my favorite. I feel Kagome is a bit OOC. Kagome doesn't have a problem admitting when she's wrong or recognizing her own mistake/errors. Throughout this entire story, so far, you make Sesshoumaru out to be the bad guy at every turn - when, in fact, they both made mistakes in their past and their present. But this chapter was the one that really proved that the most. The story keeps harping on how Sesshoumaru betrayed her trust - but Kagome does the same to him over and over. Now, I'm not saying she should be okay with him killing the Slayers, but Kagome would have been able to see the issue from both sides. The Kagome I know would have defended youkai against what the slayers said (if not for Sesshoumaru) simply because she has friends and a son with demon blood. Imho, I think in this flashback, Sesshoumaru was completely justified in feeling the way he did... and acting the way he did. I'm sorry, but in all fairness Kagome is the bad guy here. Again. I try to keep telling myself it's because she's still young and dumb... but, then her present self is obviously not seeing the errors of her own ways in the dreams... Ah well, I'm hoping it's going to get better and by the end Kagome is going to do some of her own apologizing and explaining.

Usually I'm not a fan of stories that deviate too much from the original series but this is definitely one of those stories you should not pass up. Very original, amazing characters that I wish were in the series and a modern take blended with the feudal era. The only fault it has are some spelling errors but a must read nonetheless. Thanks!

Reading this fic was interesting considering the theme. As I was reading it, when I got to the part with the initial betrayal, I was 80 % sure I had read this story before but I couldn't remember it clearly. And as I kept reading there were other parts that stood out in my memory too. Lol. Awesome story!
