I really loved this! I rather wish there was more but I will definately be keeping an eye on further stories to come.

Beautifully worded, the images you describe are breath taking and capture the same kind of majesty that the movie displayed.

I loved how you contrasted the rich details of the first paragraph with the simple statement of the Princesses' transition. It really expressed how desolate and sad the scene felt (to me) in the movie.
It was gratifying to see the happiness and joy that her rebirth caused on the other side of the fence.
Putting specific colors like Amber and Gold was clever, seeing as Ofelia's last scenes in the real world (in the movie) were tones of Gray and Blue. It gives the reader an entirely different attitude about her "death". Opens you up to the suggestion that the story goes on... Did you mean to do that?

I love how focused the Faun is, how tuned in he is to her feelings and expressions. How he makes his decision so quickly after meeting her eyes. The subtlety is delicious, I can't wait to see this develop.

A nice snapshot of Ofelia's rebirth as Moanna. This is rich with celebratory colour and action.

A nitpick: her new life begins in the underground realm, so sky and sun aren't necessarily a given. Could be an illusion cast by her father, to make the transition a little easier on her? Not sure, but I bring that up because I find myself attributing surface qualities to her kingdom too! Urk! XD

Beautiful start, and I like the implication that the faun never intended to stay once his duty was done. It suits him, both in terms of restlessness and the fact that Moanna seems to have won him over.

Patiently awaiting more!

I'm curious how this'll continue. :) The beginning is very promising.
