I loved this! I loved Audrey's mad dash for the bathroom, and I thought you wrote Jack and Doyle's interactions really well.

Amazing story! It's nice to read about the non-sociopath members of Jack's family. Jarrod and Rachel were both awesome. It's also good to see a brighter future for Audrey, Marilyn and Josh. Love the epilogue- great wrap up to the story :-)

This epilogue was excellent! As much as I loved the last chapter, this ending was certainly sweeter. Jarrod helping Jack was an interesting turn of events, as was Jack and Marilyn telling him the truth. I also liked Jack seeing his two sons together for the first time. Most of all, it's a pleasure to see Jack and Audrey living together happily surrounded by family and friends. Rachel was her wonderfully levelheaded self as usual. Josh and Kim were helpful (I love how Josh has grown up and still idolizes his uncle). I was also happy that Jarrod found a loving and supportive family with Jack, Marilyn, Audrey, Jillian, Jay, and the rest. Jillian is hilarious by the way. Three years old and already screaming damn it repeatedly like her father! Also taking countless globs of soap and announcing that her mother has to go to the bathroom! What a great ending with the happy family expecting yet another addition!

Now that your muse has come in from the pool, maybe we can coax some more stories from her?! Great job on the epilogue (definitely a keeper!) and I hope to read more soon!

Oh wow, BEAUTIFUL ending! I loved this ending instead of ending it at the last chapter (which was also great). I loved that Jack and Jarrod were able to still stay close, even though Jarrod knows the truth, which is really how I had hoped it would end. Fantastic ending, and I hope your muse gets sunburned more often if this is the result! :)

Aw...that was such a happy ending!! I'm glad Jack told Jarrod that he was his father. This has to be one of my favorite stories!!

I'm very pleased to see you take my advise... and the epilogue definitely rounds off the story nicely. I particularly liked Jarrod and Jack dragging Bill off for a beer and an explanation.

When I suggested this story, I was thinking of the reciprocal situation, where Jack stepped in to help out Jarrod but I liked this scenario. Especially as it set the scene for a family reunion.

Speaking of family, I noticed you that you left out Kim's and Josh's reaction to finding out about their common half-brother. Talk about a weird, dysfunctional family! In fact, this might make a nice epilogue, part II (if it results in more chapters to read, I'm happy to give suggestions!)

Just one thing I felt was missing was the details of the accident. Bill had no details when he called Audrey, and Jack didn't initially recall the accident so we never found out what happened.

Make sure you treat that muse of yours with lots of Aloe Vera for her sun-burn to ensure she's happy and helpful.

Nice ending! I liked seeing Jack deal with something that wouldn't cause someone to blow up within the next 3 seconds. Your story was well written, and the character Jarrod was really good. Nice job, your a great writer!
